Ear Infections. Dr Winner Explains
Dr. Jack • Jul 09, 2013

Ear infections often lead to sleepless nights and immense distress for parents. Typically, parents resort to pain relief methods like baby aspirin or stronger medications for their children. If these remedies fall short, visits to urgent care, the doctor, or even the hospital become necessary. The standard solution in these medical settings is usually antibiotics, fever reducers, and painkillers to ensure everyone gets some rest. Regrettably, this cycle tends to repeat when the infection recurs.

The key to breaking this cycle lies in addressing the root cause. The common issue behind most ear infections is the blockage in the eustachian tubes. This obstruction hampers the blood and lymphatic flow, providing a breeding ground for bacteria. As the bacteria proliferate, they increase pressure, leading to pain. While antibiotics might kill the bacteria, the primary issue, which is the tightened muscles blocking the eustachian tubes, remains unresolved. These constricted muscles in the neck and throat persist in hampering lymphatic drainage, setting the stage for a recurrence, especially when mucus production increases.

The solution involves identifying and eliminating the triggers that cause mucus production, termed allergens. These allergens could range from pet dander and certain foods to seasonal allergies, mold, or other environmental factors that produce mucus. The approach at the Winner Wellness Center focuses on pinpointing these allergens, freeing the blocked lymphatic vessels, and reinforcing and balancing the muscles in the neck and chest. Once these steps are accomplished, the infection likelihood diminishes, leading to no pain or hearing loss.

Should you or someone you know struggle with this issue, consider reaching out to the Winner Wellness Center for an appointment and break this harmful cycle.
